SON Certifies Innoson Vehicles As Automaker Sees Production Rise From 10,000 To 60,000 Vehicles Per Year - autojosh

SON certifies Innoson vehicles, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing receive the ISO 9001: 2015 Certificate and the MANCAP Certificate. 

Automaker sees 500% production rise from 10,000 to 60,000 vehicles per year, thanks to full automation of its factory.

Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing Limited (IVM) has received the ISO 9001: 2015 Certificate and the MANCAP Certificate from the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) after its vehicles met all international standards and therefore dim fit to be used in Nigeria and beyond.





At the presentation of certificate held during the 13th anniversary of the brand, the Director-General, SON, Dr. Ifeanyi Okeke, stated that award showed that the company went through rigorous process of inspections and quality assurance in the last five years.

Okeke, who was represented by Director, South East, SON, Fred Akingbesote, said :

“With the award of MANCAP’s certificate to Innoson brand of vehicles, we are demonstrating how standardisation and conformance to standard offer strategic opportunities for increased efficiency, set bench marks and help promote Made-In-Nigeria products to the international market, as this award will boost Innoson’s brand across borders. We are in effect saying that Innoson is fit to be used in Nigeria and beyond,” he said.

Speaking at the event, Innoson Chairman, Innocent Chukwuma, said that the full automation of its factory has helped increased production capacity from 10,000 vehicles to 60,000 vehicles per year – which is 500% production rise.

IVM boss said:





“In our pursuit of perfection, we have upgraded our factory from manual production to semi-automation and then to standard automation, which has seen our production capacity rise from 10,000 vehicles to 60,000 vehicles per year. As we mark this milestone in our journey of creating quality Nigerian-made vehicles, we are honoured to have you all join us for this momentous occasion.”
