Newly sworn-in Bayelsa State Gov. Douye Diri rides in a parade car made by Innoson during inauguration ceremony.

Douye Diri was sworn for the second time as the democratically elected Governor of Bayelsa State on Wednesday February 14th.

Follows in the steps of Gov’s of Anambra and Abia, who also used parade car made by Innoson for their inauguration parade.





Douye Diri was sworn in for the second time as the democratically elected Governor of Bayelsa State on Wednesday February 14th at a well-attended ceremony held at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenegoa, the State capital.

In attendance at the 2nd term swearing-in ceremony are Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas and former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

Other notable figures at the event are former Presidents of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State and Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.

Parade Car Made By Innoson

During the inauguration ceremony, the newly sworn-in Bayelsa State Governor rode in a parade car specially ordered from Nnewi-based automaker, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM).

Sharing its joy for the patronage on its verified Twitter handle on Thursday, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing wrote :

“Congratulations @govdouyediri on your second term inauguration as Governor of Bayelsa State. We are incredibly proud to see you choose an Innoson vehicle for your second term inauguration parade.”





“We’re proud to be part of this journey, leading the way with Nigerian excellence.”

Douye Diri, who believed buying Nigerian-made products will strength the economy, follows in the steps of Governor’s of Anambra and Abia State, who also used Innoson-branded vehicles for their inauguration parades.
