Again Ford Recalls More Than 500,000 Vehcles In The US

The American car manufacturer Ford will recall 565,691 vehicles in the United States of America due to the risk of fire in the engine compartment caused by possible damage to the installation of electrical cables, the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced today.

The recall applies to vehicles in which the protection of the electrical cable bundle in the engine compartment is not sufficient, which can lead to insulation wear, short circuits, and an increased risk of fire, Reuters reported.

According to official documentation released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), this extensive safety recall specifically encompasses a wide range of model years, spanning from 2021 through 2026 for both the Ford Bronco and the high-performance Ford Bronco Raptor SUV lineups. While the sheer volume of recalled vehicles is significant, Ford Motor Company has provided a preliminary estimate suggesting that this specific electrical installation defect is likely present in only approximately one percent of the total population of vehicles currently subject to this safety action.
