Rolls-Royce Recalls 102 Cullinan Ultra Luxury SUVs

Rolls-Royce has initiated a recall of 102 examples of the SUV due to a potential problem with the rear seatbelt pretensioner system.
It was determined that the screw on that system may not have been properly tightened at the factory, so owners were advised not to use the rear seats or cargo area until the inspection was completed.
The recall was not due to an accident but to internal quality control. During one test drive, an unusual rattling sound was observed, which was traced to the disputed rear seat rod. The investigation showed that the same defect could be present in the copies produced since November 27, 2019.
If the bar becomes loose over time, the rear seat belt may not provide adequate protection to the occupants in a crash. There is also a risk that the backrest of the rear seat will move forward due to the impact of luggage from the cargo area.
The recall covers vehicles manufactured between November 27, 2019, and November 19, 2025. Authorized repairers will inspect the disputed rods and, if necessary, tighten them according to factory specifications, and the repair will be free of charge. Official notifications to owners will begin in May 2026.
