Around The Nurburgring, The BMW M2 Can Go Even Faster

The BMW M2 has already been driven around the Nürburgring-Nordschleife at record speeds, but apparently it could go even faster. With the aptly named Track Kit, some more time was shaved off.
Almost exactly a year ago, BMW managed to clock a time of 7:25.5 with an M2 CS on the famous Nordschleife. A record, they proudly announced. It was indeed a record time in the ‘compact car’ category, not an overall track record, of course. Now, there is another such record for the M2. With the recently unveiled Track Kit, driver Jörg Weidinger has shaved a little more off the time. He was also behind the wheel last year.
The new time is 7:25.068, so roughly a difference of half a second. Not much, but still nice. The Track Kit brings, among other things, a huge adjustable rear spoiler, a carbon splitter, canards, and an extensively adjustable suspension to the M2. So that pays off, and so it should for an extra €23,500 (excl. taxes).
