The closure will enable the construction company working on the reconstruction of the highway, Julius Berger Plc, to carry out the resurfacing work on the Lagos- Sagamu segment of the expressway.

This development according to FRSC would automatically narrow the Lagos bound traffic route to accommodate the Sagamu bound motorists, thereby making it two lanes for both Lagos and Sagamu bound travelers to ply.
FRSC officials and other traffic management agencies would be deployed to ensure orderliness and control the diverted traffic for the period of diversion.
