Coscharis Motors Unveils First Ever BMW X7 In Nigeria (Photos & Video)
BMW X7
The all-new BMW X7 Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV) was recently unveiled in Lagos, Nigeria courtesy of Coscharis Motors.
The X7 blends presence, exclusivity, and spaciousness with the versatile and agile driving properties you’d always expect from a BMW. It features a three-row seating configuration and the largest signature kidney grille you’ll find in the BMW line up.
According to Dr. Cosmas Maduka, CON, President / CEO of Coscharis Group, “The BMW X7 as the latest premium Sports Activity Vehicle is designed to reflect the personality and requirements of the owner. It not only adds a new top model to the X family, but also defines a progressive approach to luxury for the BMW brand.”
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
This particular one is the BMW X7 xDrive40i powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine. It is mated to an eight-speed Steptronic transmission, producing 335 hp and 330 lb-ft of torque. 0-100 km/h is in 5.8 seconds. Top speed is 245 km/h and fuel consumption is an impressive 9.0 – 8.7 l/100 km (about 32 mpg)
Furthermore, an xDrive50i with 4.4 liter – twin-turbo – V8 will also be available with 456 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. 0 – 100 km/h will be in 5.2 seconds.
The eight-speed Steptronic transmission is intelligently connected to the navigation system and Active Cruise Control’s radar sensors. This enables the X7 to see the road ahead and adapt the way it shifts to the route and driving situation. This ensures the X7 is always in the right gear for the upcoming road condition. This transmission sends power to the wheels through the BMW xDrive intelligent All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system.

DRIVER ASSIST SYSTEMS
Speed-dependent Integral Active Steering turns the rear wheels either the same direction as the front, to enhance stability in high-speed maneuvers such as lane changes. Also, it turns the rear wheels in the opposite direction to the front wheels, to facilitate low-speed maneuvering by decreasing the turning radius.
In addition, the X7 boasts of several Driver-Assist Tech. This ranges from standard features like blind-spot detection and lane departure warning to optional panorama 3D view and head-up display. In addition, reversing can be seamless as a Back-Up Assistant takes over steering to maneuver the vehicle out of a parking lot by mirroring the direction you used while parking.
EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR
This exterior is garnished with Vermont Bronze which is one out of nine available colours. On the inside, you’ll get a standard Black SensaTec or a choice of nine premium Vernasca and Extended Merino Leathers.
The luxurious interiors can be further enhanced with options such as Leather Dashboard and glass controls.. for the start/stop button, gear shift lever, iDrive Controller and radio volume knob, Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof and Front Ventilated and Massaging Seats.

BMW iDrive, COCKPIT AND INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM
The latest-generation of the iDrive comprises a high-resolution digital 12.3” instrument cluster display behind the steering wheel.. as well as another 12.3” center display. Your driving, entertainment, navigation, and connectivity personalization can be stored in the BMW cloud. Therefore, it can follow you from one BMW to another.
Other elements are: a hard-drive-based multimedia system with 20 GB of memory, six USB ports, Bluetooth interfaces Wireless Charging and WiFi Hotspot
The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound is available as an option with 1,500 watts, powering 20 speakers.
An optional Rear-seat Entertainment Professional system adds a pair of 10.2-inch full-HD touchscreen displays, a Blu-ray-compatible DVD player and an HDMI socket and two headphone jacks
BMW DIGITAL KEY
Finally, a BMW Digital Key now allows the new BMW X7 to be locked and unlocked from a compatible smartphone. Therefore, this removes the need for a conventional car key. It is compatible for all NFC-capable Samsung Galaxy smartphones running Android 8.0 and above. Available from select carriers.
