Google Secures Patent for Self-Driving Waymo Cars Softening Itself Before Hitting Pedestrians

Google has a unique idea for the Waymo.
The technology involves changing the rigidity of the vehicle‘s body, thereby making the car soft before it hits a pedestrian. This is achieved by a series of cables, rods and springs lined in the panel of the vehicle.
Whenever a collision is about to happen, the sensors implanted in the vehicle gets triggered and the rigidity of the vehicle reduces drastically.
The technology definitely re-assures customers and pedestrians of their safety with autonomous vehicles.
