Jeep Launches The 2021 Grand Cherokee L And Its Luxurious (Photos)

A replacement of the Jeep Grand Cherokee was looming for a while now and we have a new model on our hands. Introducing the 2021 Grand Cherokee L which is a first for the brand. The L is a long-wheelbase version that has for the first time a 3rd row seat. This model will be sold with the regular short-wheelbase model that is a 5 seater. The 2021 Grand Cherokee L is loaded with the latest tech and luxury features.
Starting from the looks, the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L took a lot of styling from the Grand Wagoneer. Both SUVs share a similar front but the side and rear are different to distinguish both. It features a more prominent hood with an aggressive downward slope, smaller seven-slat grille pieces that cant forward, perched atop a large lower opening, and slim LED headlights flanking on either side. The new Grand Cherokee L rides on an all-new vehicle architecture with independent front and rear suspensions. It also comes with a class-exclusive Quadra-Lift air suspension. Combined with electronic adaptive damping, Jeep says the new Grand Cherokee will deliver premium on-road driving characteristics.

On the interior department, there’s a complete overhaul from what everyone knows. Jeep has borrowed the best of what’s available in the FCA portfolio. In the centre sits a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system, which ties in with a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. To control that cluster, drivers grip a new multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters. That steering wheel is leather-wrapped with Absolute Oak trim on Summit trims and open-pore Waxed Walnut on the Summit Reserve Package. The Grand Cherokee L can seat 6 or 7 adults in comfort with the 1st 2 rows fitted with heated and seats.
Not many changes under the hood of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The same base 3.6-litre V6 engine from last year’s model remains, producing 290 hp and 257 ib-ft. The optional 5.7-litre Hemi V8 also carries over and it produces 357 hp and 390 lb-ft. Both of those engines come paired to the same eight-speed automatic transmission, with two-wheel drive standard and four-wheel drive available as an option. Pricing is unknown for now as sales of the Jeep Grand Cherokee L will start by mid-2021.
