JLR Sales Down In Q3 Due To Cyber Incident, Range Rover And Defender Accounted For 74% Of Total Sales
JLR sold 79,600 vehicles in the third quarter of FY26, which is down 25.1 percent vs. Q3 FY25
Q3 sales impacted by cyber incident, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender accounted for 74.3% of total sales.
In all markets, retail volumes were down in the Q3, including in home market (UK), which was down 13.3%.
Sales in North America, Europe, China, MENA and Overseas down 37.7%, 26.9%, 18.4%, 18.7% and 14.1% respectively.

JLR, formerly known as Jaguar Land Rover, said its wholesales in in the third quarter of FY26 (1 Oct- 31 Dec 2025) were 59,200* units, down 43.3% vs. Q3 FY25 while retail sales reached 79,600* units, down 25.1% vs. Q3 FY25.
On the decline of vehicles sold in Q3 FY26, JLR blamed production stoppages following cyber incident, time required to distribute vehicles globally after production restart and the planned wind down of legacy Jaguar models.

Of the total vehicles sold between October and December, 74.3 percent were of the overall mix of the British luxury marque’s most profitable flagship Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender models.
As expected, wholesale volumes and retail volumes for the financial year to date were down to 212,600 vehicles (down 26.6% YoY) and 259,400 vehicles (down 19.1% YoY) respectively.
In all markets, retail volumes were down in the Q3, including in home market (UK), which was down 13.3%, while sales in North America, Europe, China, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and Overseas were down 37.7%, 26.9%, 18.4%, 18.7% and 14.1% respectively.
The Tata Motors-owned luxury marque said it will report full financial results for Q3 FY26 at the In February 2026.
