Kia Won The 2026 TopGear.com EV Awards For Best Manufacturer

Kia has been named “Best Manufacturer” at the 2026 TopGear.com EV Awards.
Now in its seventh year, the annual awards recognise the best electric vehicles currently on sale in the UK and reward manufacturers leading the transition to electrification. Kia’s latest accolade comes after further success at the BBC TopGear.com awards, where the PV5 Passenger was named ‘Family Car of the Year’.
“Whether you’re in the EV3 or the massive EV9, the sleek EV6 or the boxy PV5, there’s a familiar elegance that runs through Kia’s electric cars like candy canes,” said Olli Kew, deputy editor at TopGear.com. “Reliable range, effortless performance, comfortable comfort… and the confidence to round out its EV lineup with an entry-level EV2 super SUV in the form of the EV9 GT.”
“Being named TopGear.com’s ‘Best Manufacturer’ for 2026 is a strong endorsement of Kia’s electric strategy across Europe,” said Pablo Martinez Masip, Vice President, Product, Marketing and Customer Experience, Kia Europe. “In recent years, we have developed one of the most comprehensive portfolios of electric vehicles on the market, from compact, affordable models to larger, performance-focused vehicles, ensuring we can meet the diverse mobility needs of European customers. This recognition highlights the momentum behind our transformation and reinforces our commitment to becoming the leading electric mobility brand in Europe.”
The path to electrification
Kia is rapidly expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Their diverse lineup now includes the EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6, EV9 and PV5.
The EV2 represents the next step in the brand’s “Plan S” strategy, which began with the launch of the EV6 in 2021. As Kia’s most compact and affordable electric vehicle to date, the EV2 is designed, engineered and manufactured in Europe exclusively for European customers.
