King Charles’ Gas-guzzling Bentley State Limos Worth ₦20B Set To Be Converted To Run On Biofuel

King Charles’ Bentleys to be converted to run on biofuel as part of long term sustainability goal to switch electrics.

The two limos was a gift from Bentley Motors for the late Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee in 2002.

Each of the two Bentley State 4-door landaulet saloons is worth £10 million, which is around ₦20.5 billion today.

This makes the heavily customized Bentley Arnage Red Label limousines the most expensive state car in the world.





King Charles III has revealed plans to convert his two gas-guzzling Bentley State limousines to run on biofuel within the next year as part of his long term sustainability goal to switch his official fleet to electric vehicles.

The plans, revealed in the annual Sovereign Grant report, will see the two bespoke Bentleys switch to biofuel as an ‘interim measure’ while the Palace ‘begin discussions around the next generation of state vehicles being fully electrified’.

King Charles III inherited the two Bentleys from her late mother, who passed away on 8th September 2022. The two limos was a gift from Bentley Motors for the late Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of her Golden Jubilee in 2002.





Each of the two Bentley State 4-door landaulet saloons is worth £10 million (around ₦20.5 billion in Naira today), making the heavily customized Bentley Arnage Red Label limousines the most expensive state car in the world.

Painted in a distinctive claret colour below the waist rails and black above, the two Bentley State limousines are kept in the Royal Mews, which is the family’s collection of stables near Buckingham Palace.

At the moment, the two Bentley State limousines are powered by a twin-turbocharged, 6.75-litre V8 engine, which produces 400-horsepower and 616 lb⋅ft (835 N⋅m) of torque.
