Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo and his family were accompanied by a huge convoy of cars, including police escort, while heading back home.

Ronaldo finally lands back in Turin on Monday after his private jet was refused permission for takeoff in Spain on Sunday.

The 35-year-old will spend two weeks of self-isolation before resuming training with team-mates.

The Juventus striker and his family landed in Turin Airport just after 10.20pm local time on Monday.

The Juventus forward had planned to return a day earlier but his £30million private jet was unable to take off in Spain due to coronavirus travel restrictions.

Ronaldo was finally able to board a flight on Monday after being denied three times.

With a top speeds of up to 560mph, Ronaldo enjoyed a six hours 25 minutes direct flight back from Funchal Airport to Italy aboard his customized Gulfstream G200 jet.

Inside, the customized jet boasts a bed, Wi-Fi, a telephone, fax machine, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator, and an entertainment system.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his family were accompanied by a huge convoy of cars with security presence.

A trending video shows the superstar’s convoy returning home as he prepares to re-join his Juventus team-mates for training.
