Billionaire CEO of Tesla Elon Musk becomes first person in history to lose $200 billion off his net worth.

Musk lost $200b off his net worth, after topping at $340b in November 2021 to become the wealthiest man.

He is now worth $140 billion following the decline in the shares of the all-electric car maker in recent week.

Musk has now been eclipsed by 73-year-old French billionaire Bernard Arnault as the wealthiest person.





Arnault, the CEO and Chair of LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), has a net worth of $179.1 billion.

Billionaire CEO of Twitter, SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, has set unwanted record after becoming the first person in history to lose $200 billion off his net worth.

Bloomberg Billionaire’s Index shows that Musk has lost $200 billion off his net worth, after topping at $340 billion in November 2021 to become the wealthiest man.

But Musk did not last long as the world’s richest person following the decline in Tesla shares in recent week. This includes a massive 11 percent fall in the shares of Tesla on December 27 and a 65% fall in 2022, forcing Musk to tell Tesla employees that they should “not be too bothered by stock market craziness.”

Musk has now been eclipsed by 73-year-old French billionaire Bernard Arnault as the wealthiest person. Arnault, the CEO and Chair of LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton), has a net worth of $179.1 billion.





The world’s richest people lost about $1.4 trillion in 2022, led by Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Changpeng Zhao and Mark Zuckerberg, according to Bloomberg Billionaire’s Index.
