To avoid car vandalism, Tesla owners in the United States are now rebadging their vehicles to other popular car brands to distance themselves from the company’s CEO, Elon Musk.

Photos shared showed a Cybertruck badged as a Toyota truck while and a Model 3 was seen badged as a Honda Civic. Another Tesla owner changed the appearance of their Model S to look like a Mazda while another Model 3 was fitted Audi A5 rear badges.

Musk’s increased political activity has made Tesla become the target of a violent backlash, with arson and other attacks reported at dealerships, storage lots and charging stations.
