Wow, This Ferrari 360 Spider Is Actually A Toyota MR2 (Photos)
It will take a long and hard time to believe but it’s true, this is a Toyota MR2 that is a Ferrari 360 replica. We have seen lots of replica vehicles and while most of them are not authentic in looks this one nails it all-round. Nobody will ever know its an MR2 until you step on the accelerator and feel its slow response in comparison to the real deal.
Based on the third and final generation MR2, the car has been given an extensive makeover. These include a number of real Ferrari components including the head- and taillights. The roadster also has Ferrari-esque bumpers, new body panels and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. Elsewhere, there’s a front splitter, a rear diffuser and five-spoke alloy wheels with prancing horse logos.
When you step inside you can see that the interior has been modified to look like those of the Ferrari. Although its not a 100% look but it’s convincing enough. The car has been equipped with a new centre stack and a revised dashboard featuring circular air vents. There’s also Ferrari badging on the tachometer, floor mats and door sill plates.
Despite this amazing work of art, it’s only the engine that will give it away. The Toyota MR2 is powered by a 1.8-litre, 4-cylinder engine that outputs 138 hp which is miles below the 3.6-litre V8 395 hp the Ferrari 360 has. With all that, it is connected to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
