$1.1M G-Class-based Six-wheeled Truck : South African Dealership Welcomes ‘BRABUS XLP 900 6×6 Adventure’

Johannesburg-based dealership, RACE! South Africa welcomes $1.3 million six-wheeled BRABUS XLP 900 6×6 Adventure pickup truck.
900-horsepower Brabus pickup truck started life as a high-performance Mercedes-AMG G63 off-road-ready SUV.
XLP 900 6×6 Adventure is the first collaboration between BRABUS and RACE!, the official local dealer for BRABUS in South Africa.
RACE! South Africa, an automotive customization shop and the sole importer and distributors of the worlds top brands in South Africa, has welcomed the BRABUS XLP 900 6×6 Adventure to its massive in Johannesburg.
First unveiled in July 2003, this particular six-wheeled, 900-horsepower BRABUS pickup truck started life as a new MANUFAKTUR classic grey non-metallic W465 Mercedes-AMG G63.
XLP 900 6×6 Adventure, an upgrade of 800-horsepower XLP 800 6×6, is the first collaboration between German-based tuner, BRABUS, and RACE!, the official local dealer for BRABUS in South Africa.
“This is the very first full custom build with @brabus in Germany coordinated by the official local dealer for BRABUS in South Africa, @race1,” said RACE!.
Unlike the base G63 SUV, the go-anywhere BRABUS pickup truck gets new front bumper with an integrated winch and rides on a set of 22-inch monoblock eight-spoke wheels wrapped in Pirelli’s all-terrain Scorpion tyres.
Powering the BRABUS XLP 900 6×6 Adventure is the same twin-turbocharged 4.5-liter V-8 powertrain, which churns out the power of 900 horses and 922 ft lbs of torque (1,250 Nm).
This monstrous powertrain allows the Brabus XLP 900 6×6 Adventure to surge from zero to 62 mph (100km) in just 5.2 seconds and to an electronically limited top speed of 130 mph (210 km/h).
According to RACE!, pricing of the hulking Mercedes-AMG G63-based Brabus XLP 900 6×6 pickup starts at €1 million ($1.1 million) before taxes and despite the price, there has been a lot of interest from new customers.
“The amount of work and level of detail on this *1 million Euro build is mind-blowing, and according to RACE! there has been a lot of interest from new customers, so while this may be the first in SA, it will not be the last,” said RACE!.
