Toyota Unveils 2022 Tundra TRD Pro For 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
Toyota unveils the new Tundra TRD Pro for the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
It is based on the styling and design of Toyota’s road-going Tundra TRD Pro launched last week.
It gains a new aggressive look featuring TRD Pro badging, mirroring the new road-going version.
The truck will make its public debut at the Daytona International Speedway on February 18, 2022.
Japanese automaker Toyota has unveiled its new latest Tundra-based NASCAR race truck for 2022 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The all-new Tundra NASCAR race truck is based on the styling and design of Toyota’s road-going Tundra TRD Pro that made its debut last week.
But the 2022 NASCAR Tundra TRD Pro gains a new aggressive look featuring TRD Pro badging, mirroring the new road-going version.
“The launch of the new Tundra is a really exciting time for our entire organization, so to be able to reflect that new styling in our Nascar Tundra with the TRD Pro design is a reflection of the importance of the series to all of us and allows us to continue ensuring our on-track production resembles its production counterparts that can be found in our Toyota showrooms,” says Toyota’s motorsports group manager Paul Doleshal.
With the Tundra TRD Pro, Toyota is hoping to add another title to the eight drivers’ and 11 manufacturers’ championships it has won so far.
The 2022 NASCAR Tundra TRD Pro will join the Toyota Camry TRD Next Gen Cup Series car launched in May, and the Toyota Supra that is currently competing in the Xfinity Series — making Toyota to be the only OEM that campaigns three different body styles across NASCAR’s top three series.
“The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has always been extremely important to Toyota not only in our history, but our focus at our dealerships,” Paul Doleshal added.
While the 2022 Tundra TRD Pro is expected to hit dealership later this year, the 2022 NASCAR Tundra TRD Pro will make its public debut at the Daytona International Speedway on Friday, February 18, 2022.
