Buhari to visit Lagos next week to commission Blue Line Rail, 18.75km Eleko to Epe T Junction Express road.

Lagos State Government to ensure hitch-free events during President’s two-day working visit.

President Muhammadu Buhari will be on a 2-day working visit to Lagos State on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th of January, 2023 to commission five projects within the State.





Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso made this known on Friday during a press conference at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa, Ikeja.

Among the projects billed for commissioning by the president are the 18.75km six-lane rigid-pavement Eleko to Epe Expressway and the first phase of the Lagos Blue Line rail system (Marina to Mile 2).

Others projects scheduled for commissioning includes the 32-Metric tons Lagos Rice Mill, Imota and as well as the groundbreaking for the Blue Line Rail Phase 2 (Mile 2 to Okokomaiko).

According Omotosho, all hands are on deck by the State Government to ensure a hitch-free event during the two days working visit.

Speaking further, Omotosho said : “

“It is a visit where Mr. President will again see the beauty of Lagos and take the opportunity to see first-hand, the life changing and people-oriented projects that were conceptualized and completed by the Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu administration.

“The President is expected to drive through and commission the newly constructed Eleko Junction to Epe road project before departing via helicopter to the Lagos Rice Mill in Imota.





“At the Blue Line Terminal, Mr. President will witness the signing of the phase II of the rail project, which is beginning from Mile 2 to Okokomaiko.

“He will also commission the Phase I and take a train ride from Marina to Mile 2 and back, and depart. Lagos.”
