Next-Gen Mazda 2 And CX-3 Are On The Way
Mazda will continue to offer smaller models (Mazda 2 and CX-3) in the future, although not in all markets.
In an interview with Drive, Vinesh Bindi, the head of Mazda in Australia, said that “there will be new generations” but that they won’t arrive immediately.
Bindi added, “There is a list of priorities,” but acknowledged the need to refresh the two compact cars. “I mean, I wish we had endless R&D resources that could do everything at once, but that’s not the case,” Bindi said.
According to Motor1, the two new compact Mazda models are unlikely to arrive before 2027. When the next-generation Mazda 2 and CX-3 arrive, both will likely borrow styling cues from the Vision-X Compact concept, a five-door compact hatchback.
