The 2,300-hp, Four-Seat Hypercar From Koenigsegg Is Now Available To Buyers

Among hypercar manufacturers, Koenigsegg remains one of the most highly regarded brands in the automotive industry. Established by a visionary founder, the Swedish company has demonstrated remarkable resilience, thriving for decades while outlasting larger competitors within this exceptionally demanding and competitive market segment.
Koenigsegg has officially delivered the first production Gemera. The “Mega-GT” four-seater, initially unveiled in 2020, now features traditional mirrors, aerodynamic refinements from the Ghost Package, and a powerful 2,300-hp V8 hybrid powertrain. The first unit is headed to Switzerland following a showcase at the Aurora Concours.
Initially, it was announced that the Gemera would feature a 2.0-liter twin-turbo three-cylinder plug-in hybrid powertrain. However, the final production version has been upgraded to a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors, generating an impressive 2,300 horsepower and 2,028 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels via the manufacturer’s patented nine-speed Light Speed Tourbillon Transmission (LSTT). In terms of performance, the vehicle is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 1.9 seconds and achieving a top speed of 249 mph.
