Audi Q7 Becomes First Production Model To Score 100% In Euro NCAP Post-Crash Safety Assessment

Audi’s Q7 luxury SUV has become the first production model to achieve a perfect 100 per cent score in Euro NCAP’s Post-Crash Safety assessment, while also earning a five-star overall safety rating in its latest 2026 evaluation.
According to Euro NCAP, the Audi Q7, priced from $62,000, received full marks for post-crash safety by providing rescue information, supporting emergency assistance and enabling first responders to extract occupants quickly and safely.

Other contributors to the SUV’s high safety score include its emergency call system, which can automatically alert rescue services after a serious collision, and its multi-collision brake system, which automatically brings the vehicle to a stop after a qualifying impact.
However, the Q7’s perfect score applies specifically to ‘Post-Crash Safety’, rather than every aspect of vehicle safety. Euro NCAP awarded the SUV 88 per cent for ‘Crash Protection’, 77 per cent for ‘Crash Avoidance’ and 72 per cent for ‘Safe Driving’.

The 88 per cent crash protection score reflects assessments of occupant protection in frontal and side impacts, while its crash avoidance features are designed to prevent accidents, including ‘dooring’, where a door is opened into the path of a cyclist approaching from behind.
While the five-star result places the Audi Q7 among vehicles achieving Euro NCAP’s highest overall rating, its 100 per cent post-crash score highlights how emergency communication, rescue information and occupant accessibility can make a difference after an accident.
