Jeep Records Success In Europe As The Avenger Compact SUV Hits 300,000 Orders
Launched in 2023, the Jeep Avenger has reached 300,000 orders, taking another step towards the record of 610,000 copies held by the Jeep Renegade model (over the entire life cycle and the same range). Electrified versions account for around 60% of total sales.
The new Jeep Avenger, which underwent changes in May, brings a refreshed design, advanced features such as LED matrix headlights and a front camera with a 360° view, a new Selec-Terrain driving mode selection system, as well as an improved look and feel when touching all interior surfaces. The new colors inspired by nature – “Bamboo” (bamboo) and “Forest” (forest) – have also been well received by customers.
The Avenger was designed and manufactured in Europe, and was developed with European customers in mind. Combining the style of an attractive compact car with exceptional capabilities, it opened a new perspective in the B-SUV segment. Its concept expands the traditional reach of the Jeep brand, attracting a large percentage of female buyers as well as drivers under 40 years of age.
Customers appreciate Jeep’s “design for function” approach, which makes the Avenger beautiful, practical, and blends perfectly into any environment. Protective coverings that surround the entire vehicle, recessed headlights and protective panels with color integrated into the material itself represent characteristic aesthetic elements, but at the same time help prevent damage during minor impacts. Short overhangs, combined with high ground clearance, optimize off-road performance and allow the vehicle to overcome obstacles without risking bumper damage. Jeep’s distinctive seven-slot grille is further accentuated by LED backlighting, making the car noticeable and easily recognizable in any situation.
Despite its compact dimensions, the new Avenger retains all the features that make Jeep’s DNA legendary – starting with best-in-class capabilities. No other vehicle in the same category offers as much ground clearance, such off-road angles, or overall performance on demanding terrain.
The Jeep Selec-Terrain system – which is standard equipment even on two-wheel drive (4×2) versions – adjusts power delivery and traction control depending on the surface and weather conditions. The driver can select preset driving modes with an easily accessible switch. This system is paired with Hill Descent Control.
The 4xe version, equipped with four-wheel drive and a 145 hp engine, has an electrified dual-clutch transmission, an internal combustion engine on the front axle and an electric motor on the rear axle, delivering up to 1,900 Nm of torque to the rear wheels.
The new Jeep Avenger 4xe can handle climbs on gravel surfaces with a 40% gradient, or a 20% gradient in situations where the front axle has no grip. This version features a black “Jeep Shield” element, LED fog lights, roof racks and a tow bar.
Customers want freedom of choice, and the new Jeep Avenger responds to that with a complete range of powertrains – petrol, “e-Hybrid”, fully electric (BEV) and “4xe” versions, with the option of choosing between manual and automatic transmissions, as well as front- or all-wheel drive.
The fully electric version is ideal for city driving without the emission of harmful gases (with a range of up to 400 km), as well as for quiet driving on the open road. The “e-Hybrid” version represents the entrance to the world of electrified vehicles. The petrol version with manual transmission offers an affordable solution for those who prefer a more traditional approach.
The Avenger 4xe model, with all-wheel drive, is designed to overcome even the most demanding terrains.
The new Jeep Avenger is available in four equipment packages (Longitude, Altitude, Summit, as well as a special edition dedicated to the brand’s 85th anniversary). The Avenger 4xe is offered in three trim packages (Upland, Overland and “85th Anniversary”).
Already equipped with class-leading technology, the new Jeep Avenger now introduces LED matrix headlights, which make night driving more relaxed. An additional front camera on the touch screen displays a digitally generated 360° “bird’s-eye” view, making parking maneuvers easier and driving off the beaten track safer. The optimal viewing angle and magnification level are selected automatically, although the driver can adjust them to his needs at any time.
The safety offer is rounded off by a state-of-the-art package of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) of the second level (Level 2).
