Euro NCAP Awards Mercedes E-Class The “Best Performer” For Being The ‘Safest Car Tested’ In 2024
‘Best in Class’ : Euro NCAP awards Mercedes E-Class the “Best Performer” for being the ‘safest car tested ’ in 2024.
To define the ‘Best in Class’, Euro NCAP experts calculate a weighted average of four areas of active and passive safety.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class achieved standout score in the four areas of active and passive safety tested by Euro NCAP.
Other ‘Best in Class’ winners includes Škoda Superb/VW Passat, Mazda CX-80 (Large SUV), and ZEEKR X (Small SUV).

The Euro New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) has awarded the Mercedes‑Benz E‑Class the “Best Performer” of 2024 after the Executive car topped the overall safety score of cars it tested last year.
To define the ‘Best in Class’, Euro NCAP experts calculate a weighted average of four areas of active and passive safety : Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, Vulnerable Road User Protection, and Safety Assist Technologies.

In the four areas of active and passive safety, the E-Class model tested, a 2024 Mercedes-Benz E 300 de achieved a standout score of 92%, 90%, 84% and 87% respectively.

Other ‘Best in Class’ winners (safest models it tested in 2024) includes the Škoda Superb and Volkswagen Passat (winning jointly), the Mazda CX-80 (Large SUV), and the ZEEKR X (Small SUV).
Belgium-based Euro NCAP is an organisation that conducts crash tests and other safety evaluations. It is made up of European transport ministries, automobile clubs and insurance associations.
