Jeep Dropping Manual Window Lifters From The Wrangler Lineup

Technological progress in the automotive industry is daily consigning functions that until recently were an indispensable part of every car to history.
The list of unnecessary functions from last week also includes manual window lifters. The last barrier was Jeep, which offered its Wrangler model with manual lifters that are now being replaced by automatic, electric lifters.
In a statement, Jeep confirmed that power windows will be standard equipment across the entire Wrangler range. ‘Electric windows, which were previously an option, will now be standard equipment in all Jeep Wranglers. Electric lifters have so far been limited to Sport S versions,’ the announcement says.
Jeep did away with manual lifters to simplify the process, while also reducing the cost of manufacturing the car.
