On Thursday, German automaker, Mercedes, unveiled a massive, pillar-to-pillar, 56-inch hyperscreen that will debut in the upcoming EQS all-electric luxury sedan.

The new massive hyperscreen is the centerpiece of the Mercedes’ latest generation MBUX infotainment system that was revealed on Thursday.

Based on images shared by Mercedes, the massive screen appears to house at least three screens. This includes an instrument cluster, a central infotainment screen, and an additional screen facing the front passenger.

First seen in the Mercedes A-Class in 2018, the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX), is one of the most impressive infotainment systems on the market.

The MBUX system ditches nearly thirty (30) physical buttons in Mercedes cars in favor of a completely digital in-car user experience. It adds voice, hand gesture, gaze controls, fingerprint sensors, as well as other additional safety features.

Upcoming Mercedes EQS is the first all-electric member of the new S-Class family. It will be built on the same line with the current 2021 S-Class at Mercedes-Benz “Factory 56” in Germany.
