Nearly 700 Jobs In Tesla’s Factory In The US Cut As Low Sales Eats Deep

Tesla is cutting almost 700 jobs at its factory in the American city of Sparks, Nevada. The car manufacturer recently announced that more than 10 percent of jobs will disappear worldwide. The elimination of jobs in Sparks is part of this.
The company decided to cut a large number of jobs because Tesla is suffering from disappointing sales and increased competition, especially from China. Partly because of this, the automaker experienced its worst quarter in years in the past three months.
Earlier this month, the company said it would cut more than 6,000 jobs in Texas and California and 400 near Berlin, home to Tesla’s only factory in Europe. About 140,000 people work at Tesla worldwide.
