Senegalese Stars Mendy And Mane Flies Private Jet To AFCON, Hours After Chelsea Vs Liverpool Draw

Senegalese Stars Edouard Mendy and Sadio Mane flies private jet to AFCON hours after Chelsea Vs Liverpool.
Both Premier League sides played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Mane and Mendy’s Senegal side are in Group B of AFCON with Zimbabwe, Guinea and Malawi.
Sadio Mane caught a private jet with Edouard Mendy, just hours after Premier League sides Liverpool and Chelsea played a thrilling 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The 29 year Senegalese pair flew out of London on Sunday night to link up with their national team for the delayed continental tournament staged in Cameroon.
But the flight might have been an awkward one as Chelsea goalkeeper insisted his ‘brother’ should have been sent off just seconds into the game at Stamford Bridge.
Mane was at the centre of controversy after escaping a red card just six seconds into the game at the Bridge. However, Mane was given a yellow card by referee Anthony Taylor.
The shot-stopper told RMC Sport:
“Sadio is my brother, my compatriot.
“But he should not have stayed on the pitch after one minute.”
To make matters worse, Mane opened the scoring for Liverpool eight minutes after escaping the red card before Mo Salah finished beyond Mendy to make it 2-0.
But Chelsea stars rallied up as Mateo Kovacic and Christian Pulisic levelled things up before half-time to salvage a point.
Sadio Mane and Edouard Mendy’s Senegal side are in Group B of the Africa Cup of Nations with Zimbabwe, Guinea and Malawi, which kicks off in Cameroon on 9 January.
Their first game of the Africa Cup of Nations is against Zimbabwe on January 10 at the Kouekong Stadium in Bafoussam.
