The Audi E-Tron GT Loses 70% Of Its Value In Less Than 5 Years
Anyone buying an electric car from one of the higher segments needs to be prepared for a hit. Cars like the Porsche Taycan struggle with heavy depreciation. The Taycan’s Audi cousin is also a true depreciation machine. We are talking about the Audi E-tron GT. The example we are bringing to the stage is the cheapest used E-tron GT we can find in the used car inventory on our site. It costs less than 40 percent of what it cost new not so long ago.
The Audi E-tron GT we are talking about is from 2021 and has driven 146,528 kilometers. The seller is asking €42,945, whereas the E-tron GT cost €112,231 new five years ago. In other words, in about five years, €69,286 has evaporated, meaning the electric super-Audi has lost over 62 percent of its value. That is heavy. That being said, roughly 43 grand for a used car is a substantial amount that is well above budget for many. You do get a lot in return, though.
The Audi E-tron GT is painted Daytona Grey, sits on five-spoke alloy wheels, and is lavishly equipped. It features Nappa leather sports seats, adaptive air suspension, a panoramic glass roof, extensive front and rear climate control, and so on.
The powertrain is also impressive, although we are dealing here with the least potent variant Audi had on the menu in 2021. Thanks to two electric motors, it delivers 476 hp, features all-wheel drive, and houses an 85-kWh battery (net) in the floor. You can zoom to 100 km/h in complete peace in just 4.1 seconds. Its top speed is 245 km/h. Fast charging is possible at a still very respectable 270 kW. In theory, this powertrain is good for a driving range of 488 kilometers. There will likely be plenty of that remaining: the SoH (State of Health) of the battery pack is still 93 percent.
