The high-performance division of Mercedes-Benz, the AMG, is known for creating a more powerful and luxurious versions of standard Mercedes cars.
The engineering team hand build each AMG-badged vehicles, similar to standard Mercedes cars, but with extra-sporty handling and more stylish aesthetics.
The division has pumped out more expensive monsters like the Mercedes-AMG G63, which is simply a high-performance variant of the G550. We’ve also seen the AMG GLE 53 4Matic Coupe, which can best be described as a GLE Coupe on steroids.
But their are versions of Mercedes-Benz cars that will never be “AMG-ed”. According to the German automaker, the B-Class, EQC and the X-Class lineups won’t get the AMG variants.
The news was revealed by the AMG chief, Tobias Moers, during the unveiling of the new GLB 35 AMG at the 2019 Frankfurt auto show.
Let’s take a look at the cars that won’t get the powerful AMG variants
1) B-Class
First among the three Mercedes models is the B-Class hatchback. The B-Class won’t get the turbocharged engines used in the AMG variants of A-Class, CLA and the GLA.
