Toke Makinwa gained fame from being a co-host of the Morning Drive show on Rhytm93.7FM.
In 2012, the English and Literature graduate of the University of Lagos launched her YouTube Vblog series Toke Moments. On the platform, she displays her vibrant, captivating and hilarious personality. This would get her more public attention.
In November 2016, she released her book On Becoming.
The book talks about her personal struggles and addresses the betrayal of her now ex-husband, Maje Ayida.
In 2017, Makinwa launched a handbag line under her eponymous label, Toke Makinwa Luxury. She also launched a skincare product called Glow by TM in 2018.
Makinwa, who lost both of her parents to a fire accident when she was 8 years old, has hosted numerous notable events, including the 2013 Future and City People Awards, as well as the 2014 Headies Awards.
Toke has made several achievements in the Nigerian entertainment industry. For instance, she won the Nigeria Broadcasters Award for the Outstanding Female presenter of the Year (2013).
One of her favourite past times of the lifestyle entrepreneur is posting, most times sultry, photos of herself on Instagram. Thus availing her over 3.5 million followers something to relish.
From many of her numerous published personal photos, one thing is certain; one of her favourite photo locations is in or around a car, mostly her Range Rover Sport. Toke acquired the Range Rover Sports on June 2017.
