Ferrari Purosangue SUV Finally Teased Ahead of 2022 Debut - autojosh

Ferrari has finally teased its upcoming Purosangue, pronounced as poo-row-sann-gway, ahead of 2022 debut.

When it arrives, it will take on the likes of Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga and Aston Martin DBX.

The official teaser came a month after images of an undisguised pre-production version surfaced online.

The Italian supercar maker Ferrari has finally offered an official look at its upcoming SUV, the Ferrari Purosangue. In a teaser on Wednesday, Ferrari announced that the new model will debut sometime later this year.

The announcement confirms that the Ferrari Purosangue SUV, pronounced as poo-row-sann-gway, will arrive before the year runs out as a 2023 model SUV.

“You’ve heard the rumours… and we’re delighted to confirm they’re true (some of them). All will be revealed later this year.”

Another caption reads :

“A car whose bloodline can be traced back through our 75-year history of innovation, evolution and uncompromising performance. Stand by for a genuine game changer. All will be revealed later this year.”

The upcoming Purosangue is Ferrari’s answer to the Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX, and Bentley Bentayga high-performance SUVs.

As expected, the teaser offer up an image of the front, and not much else. Ferrari is yet to say what powertrains will drive the Purosangue, but the SUV may likely use the same twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 as offered in the Ferrari GTC4lusso.

The official teaser came a month after images of an undisguised pre-production version surfaced online. The uncamouflaged SUV was snapped parked in what is believed to be the Italian Sports Car maker’s factory.

Last year, Ferrari delivered a total of 11,155 luxury sports cars across its various markets around the world. Its sale may cross the 12,000 mark in 2022 with the launch its first ever SUV, after ignoring the profitable SUV segment for so many years.
