Police In Lagos Arrest Brain-box Thieves Who Stole 'Three' From Mercedes SUVs Brought In For Repairs - autojosh

Police arrest four brain-box thieves after stealing three from Mercedes-Benz SUV brought in for repairs.

The suspects, all male and aged between 18 and 21, are mechanic apprentices in the neighborhood.

They have given useful information and efforts are on to arrest the receivers of these stolen items.

A statement by the Police said that the arrested suspects have since been arraigned.





Police operatives attached to Surulere Division in Lagos have arrested four members of a syndicate that specialize in vandalizing and selling vehicle parts.

Police said that the suspects were arrested on September 7, 2022 after receiving a report that three Mercedes-Benz SUVs brought in for repairs at a mechanic workshop were vandalized and their brainboxes and oil pumps stolen.

The suspects – all male and aged 18 and 21 – are mechanic apprentices in the neighborhood, according to report.

The suspects, Sodiq Odugbade, Aliyu Yusufa, Ayinla Aliaminu and Ayomide Ogunshiyi – all male and aged 20, 20, 21 and 18 respectively – are mechanic apprentices in the neighborhood, according to a statement by Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.

Police said that the suspects have given useful information and efforts are on to arrest the receivers of these stolen items. Arrested suspects have since been arraigned.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi assures Lagosians of the relentless efforts of officers and men of the Command to bring crime to the barest minimum.
