Bentley Teases Fourth-generation Continental GT Speed Ahead Of Reveal On June 25th

Bentley Motors teases the fourth-generation Continental GT Speed ahead of reveal on Tuesday June 25th 2024.

Fourth-generation Continental GT Speed will arrive as the most powerful road car in Bentley’s 105-year history.

New Continental GT Speed uses the brand’s Ultra Performance Hybrid V8, which delivers 771 horsepower and 1000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque.

The electrified powertrain allows the new Bentley Continental GT Speed to go 50 miles (80 kilometers) of electric-only range.

Has 208 mph top speed, an unofficial “underwater speed record” set in the longest and deepest subsea road tunnel in the world.

The second generation of the Continental GT arrived in 2010, while the third generation model was launched in 2018. 

 

British luxury marque, Bentley Motors, has announced that the all-new, fourth-generation Continental GT Speed will arrive on Tuesday 25th June as the most powerful road car in its 105-year history.

The new Continental GT Speed uses the brand’s Ultra Performance Hybrid V8, an electrified powertrain that delivers 771 horsepower and 1000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque, combined with 50 miles (80 km) of electric-only range.

To prove its performance credentials, Bentley took the new Continental GT Speed to the Ryfylke Tunnel in Norway, where it claimed an unofficial “underwater speed record”, reaching its top speed of 208 mph (335 km/h) in the longest subsea road tunnel and deepest tunnel of any kind on the planet.

The Continental GT started the rebirth of Bentley Motors in 2002, helping the brand’s annual sales to climb from approximately 1000 cars to over 10,000 within four years of its introduction.

The second generation of the Continental GT arrived with the now discontinued W12 engine in 2010, which was followed by a new 4.0 litre V8 option in 2012. The third generation was launched in 2018 with a new engine, new suspension, new electrical architecture, new technology and new interior and exterior designs.
