Tesla Goes Into Car Rental Business
Tesla expands its business into car rental. The new service is launching in several locations in the US, and it is now possible to rent a Tesla at low prices, writes Teslarati.
Those who rent a car can drive as long as they want and can charge it for free at Tesla chargers. Prices start at just $60 per day. Those who hire a Tesla also get a discount if they later buy an electric car from the manufacturer.
– Rent a Tesla and make sure that every commute and car trip you make is more enjoyable. While it’s yours, you can try a self-driving (supervised) drive as well as control and monitor your vehicle using the Tesla app. Reserve your car rental for three to seven days from $60 per day (plus taxes and fees) and charge it for free at any Tesla Supercharger station, Tesla said in an email about the new service, which will initially launch in San Diego and Costa Mesa, California.
This is probably the company’s response to the fact that the US has abolished subsidies for the purchase of electric cars. Production capacities will also be employed, and indirectly, Tesla will also try to sell cars…
