Chinese automaker, BAIC (Beijing Automotive Group) took part at this year’s 2026 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) held at the World Trade Center Metro Manila and the Philippine Trade Training Center.
At the event, which ran from April 9–12th 2026, BAIC, known for sharing a deep strategic partnership with Mercedes-Benz, displayed some of its models, highlighted by the G-Class-inspired BAIC B80 Wagon Special Edition.

Unlike the base car, the BAIC B80 Wagon Special Edition on display at the BAIC booth featured some components sourced from Germany high-performance aftermarket tuning company, Brabus.

While the BAIC B80 (BJ80 or IVM G80 SUV in some markets) is known for its similarities to the popular Mercedes-Benz G-Class, the BAIC styled the B80 Wagon Special Edition to resemble Brabus-tuned Mercedes-AMG G63, the Brabus 800.
The readily available Brabus Widestar body kit seen on the “B80” includes a power dome hood crafted from high-quality carbon fiber, Brabus-style front Grille with “B” logo, G-Class’ front fender turn signal lights, LED projector headlights and tail lights and as well as roof-mounted LED light bar attachment.

The rugged, luxury-focused SUV offers a 215mm ground clearance, 20-inch wheels. Power comes from a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 engine with 280-hp and 420 Nm of torque, paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission and a part-time 4WD system.
Other variant of BAIC B80 (BJ80)
Made-in-Nigeria Innoson IVM G80 is another variant of the military-based BAIC B80 (BJ80), the former, the current official car of Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo. Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) announced the development of the military-based IVM G80 SUV for the African market on December 11, 2017.
