GM Announces Positive 2nd Quarter Dealings
The American automobile giant General Motors (GM) announced today its financial results for the second quarter of 2026, in which its adjusted profit (EBIT) increased by 30 percent year-on-year to almost 3.9 billion dollars, and the company raised its forecasts for the whole year based on the successful quarter.
General Motors’ adjusted earnings per share (EPS) came in at $3.57, topping forecasts of $3.20, while quarterly revenue rose 1.9 percent year-over-year to $48.03 billion, beating expectations of $47.01 billion, CNBC reports.
The good results were led by the North American market, where the average selling price of the vehicle reached $52,000, indicating strong demand for more expensive models and a more favorable sales mix for the company.
