Uber Launches New Feature That Lets Female Drivers In Saudi Arabia Take Only Female Passengers


Uber has launched a new feature, called Women Preferred View, that lets women drivers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia choose to pick up women passengers only .
The new feature came into force this month after a 2018 Uber survey in Saudi Arabia showed that 74% of female drivers were only interested in driving women.
The effort is part of a broader push by Uber to cater for women drivers in the region. Women in the oil-rich Islamic country gained the right to drive for the first time in June 2018.
