One Year On, And The Drivable Lego Bugatti Chiron Continues To Amaze Us
One year on, and the drivable lego Bugatti Chiron, the first fully-functional self-propelled life-size Lego Technic car ever, continues to amaze us.
The life-size Lego Bugatti Chiron took LEGO about 13,438 hours, 560 days or about 18 months to complete and uses over 1 million Lego Technic pieces.
Just like the original Chiron, it is also fitted with a dash, seats, steering wheel, rear spoiler, speedometer, front and rear lights and a brake pedal.
Powering this amazing engineering feat is 2,304 Lego Technic motors, that produces 5.3 horsepower – that’s about 279 times less powerful than the original 1479hp Hypercar.
Bugatti driver Andy Wallace also took it for a spin on the same German track where he recently drove a 1578 horsepower Chiron to a new record speed of 304-mpg.
