Ahead of 100 Anniversary, check out the motorcade carrying recipients of China’s highest honor ‘The July 1 Medal‘.

The motorcade, consisting of several luxury buses, was accompanied by police motorcycle and car escorts.

The recipients includes war heroes, scientists, community workers, artists, diplomats, pioneers in national unity, educators and police.

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday presented the July 1 Medal to outstanding Party members in Beijing. The July 1 Medal, presented for the first time this year, is the highest honor in the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The ceremony, chaired by Jinping, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, comes days before China marks its 100th founding anniversary this year.

Ahead of the today’s ceremony, trending pictures shows the motorcade carrying the recipients of the July 1 Medal to the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The motorcade, consisting of several luxury buses, was accompanied by police motorcycle and car escorts.

The 29 outstanding Party members honored on Tuesday were from several fields, including war heroes, scientists, community workers, artists, diplomats, pioneers in national unity, educators and police.
