Back on November 9th 2024, a Bugatti W16 MISTRAL World Record Car officially become the fastest open-top car in the world after reaching 453.91 km/h (282-mph) at ATP Automotive Testing Papenburg in Germany.
Following the record-breaking run, Bugatti took the W16 MISTRAL for a photoshoot alongside a full collection of Bugatti’s World Record Cars, including the Chiron Super Sport 300+ that reached the impressive 490.48 km/h (304.7 mph) record in 2019.

Also on display alongside the Mistral are record-breaking 16.4 Super Sport World Record Edition that reached 431.07 km/h (267.8 mph) in 2010 and the VEYRON 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Edition that reached 408.84 km/h (254 mph) in 2013.
Interestingly, this unique €14 million W16 Mistral World Record Car and the other three collection of Bugatti’s World Record Cars all belongs to a special Bugatti client as part of “The Singh Collection” in Punjab, India.

“The W16 World Record Car now joins the illustrious company of The Singh Collection – to which we pay tribute for creating such an incredibly impressive, history-making group of vehicles.
The Bugatti World Record Cars are incomparable in what they have achieved – and are therefore Bugatti vehicles in every sense of the word,” said Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles.
Together, the four record-breaking hypercars represent the purest essence of innovation – showcasing not only the evolution of Bugatti machinery, but the expanding boundaries of engineering possibility.
