Electric G-Class To Be Called “G 580 With EQ Technology”, Set To Be Revealed In China On April 24
Two Mercedes-Benz models to make world premieres in China, ahead of start of the Beijing auto show on April 25th.
One of them is the electric G-Class, which will now be called the “G 580 with EQ Technology” instead of the EQG.
Upcoming reveal of the electric G-Class in China, the car brand’s largest single market globally, was made known in a statement.
Alongside the electric G-Class, Mercedes will also showcase the new AMG GT 63 S E at the 2024 Beijing auto show.
Earlier this week, Mercedes showed off the off-roading prowess of the upcoming electric G-Class at its testing ground close in Sweden.
Mercedes-Benz will showcase the electric version of the iconic Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G-Wagon) in China on April 24, ahead of its official debut at the 2024 Beijing auto show on April 25.
The upcoming reveal of the electric G-Class in China, the German luxury car brand’s largest single market globally, was made known by Mercedes while announcing sales performance between January and March 2024.
“Our customers can look forward to an exciting year 2024 with a series of fantastic new product launches in 2024, particularly in the Top-End segment.
“One of the highlights is just around the corner with the long-awaited world premiere of the all-new electric G at Auto China in Beijing in two weeks,” Mercedes said, conforming an earlier report on Monday.
Earlier this week, Mercedes-Benz shared a cool video showing off the off-roading prowess of the upcoming electric G-Class at the Mercedes-Benz testing ground close to the Arctic Circle in the snowy Sweden.
Alongside the electric G-Class, which will now be called the “G 580 with EQ Technology” instead of the EQG, Mercedes-Benz will also showcase the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance Coupe at the 2024 Beijing auto show.
