Innoson is a pioneer in producing eco-friendly vehicles that runs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Nigeria.
Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM), held a productive meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday, August 8th 2024 at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
During the closed-door talks, Chukwuma discussed the future of transportation in Nigeria and expressed his support for the Bola Tinubu administration’s Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNGi).

Chukwuma, whose company is a pioneer in producing vehicles that run on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Nigeria, believes that the initiative is the way forward for the country. He expressed his enthusiasm for the government’s plans to introduce CNG-powered buses, stating that it would provide cheaper transportation options for the masses.
“Chukwuma further urged Nigerians to exercise patience with the Tinubu administration and give them time to successfully implement their initiatives. He emphasized that the CNG initiative had immense benefits for Nigeria and could help save the country billions of Naira monthly,” Cornel Osigwe, Head, Corporate Communications and Affairs, said in a statement.
IVM has been at the forefront of promoting CNG-powered vehicles in Nigeria, with the factory producing CNG kits and vehicles to give consumers cleaner and more cost-effective transportation options.
Innoson is optimistic about a future where CNG-powered buses will transform Nigeria’s transportation landscape with the support of President Tinubu’s administration. It further believes that this CNG initiative will not only benefit the commuting public but also contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future for the country.
