The long-awaited real-size model of the limited-edition $3.6 million (N1.3 billion) Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 consists of 400,000 Technic elements, including 20 elements that were molded specifically for the creation.
Painted in the official Lamborghini enamel for an authentic finish, LEGO spent 8,660 hours (about 360 days) in creating the finished product, including 5,270 hours of development, and 3,290 hours into the act of building.
“Our designers love a challenge, so they were enthusiastic to literally think on a larger scale with this model,” said Lena Dixen, Senior Vice President of Product and Marketing at LEGO Group.
Federico Foschini, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Automobili Lamborghini, said:
“This 1:1 reproduction of the Sián is the demonstration that Lamborghini and LEGO both look at challenges to find their life force, at technology for possibility, and at design as an element that can and must surprise the audience.”
The LEGO Lamborghini Sian is not drivable, unlike the Lego Bugatti Chiron that was revealed in 2019. But it still features detailed interior, as well as lighting created from LEGO Technic elements.
