Meet The 1200Hp Electric Hypercar Drako GTE Which Is A 4-Door Sedan

We are familar with hypercar by now as most of them being 2-doors and 2-seats, but ever head of a 4-door hypercar? Guess not, lets introduce the Drako GTE 4-door hypercar that is insanely powerful and super expensive. Built by a Califonia based company Drako, the GTE is everything a hypercar is and more. Its main feature is the fact that its more practical than any hypercar in the market.

Lets get to what makes the Drako GTE thick, for starters, the GTE gets four electric motors – one at each wheel – that produce a combined 1,200 horsepower and an insane 6,491 pound-feet of torque. That makes the Drako GTE as powerful as a typical Bugatti Chiron and almost as fast too. This vehicle has a top speed of 206mph and does 0 to 60 in an impressive 2.9 secs. The Drako GTE comes with 4 motors and can make prolific use of torque vectoring. Each motor sends power through a direct-drive gearbox, and a snazzy computer system can precisely control power to each wheel.

The base body of the Drako GTE is based on the Fisker Karma or you can call it the Karma on steriods. The Drako GTE is a road legal vehicle and it accommodates 4-passengers. For the record, though, its impressive 90-kWh battery pack provides enough range to do a typical 15-20-minute on-the-limit track session while remaining within its sweet-spot charge window of 30-90 percent. And with 150-kW fast charging, it can be back at the top of that window in as little as 20 minutes. The company plans to build just 25 models at $1.25 million each, with deliveries expected to begin in 2020 but due to COVID deliveries has been shifted to 2021 instead.
