New Hypercar Brand, Nilu27, Introduces 1,070-hp NILU Hypercar (Photos)
Newly formed hypercar brand, Nilu27, introduces 1,000-hp NILU hypercar designed by Sasha Selipanov.
The eye-catching Nilu hypercar sports a carbon-fiber chassis and a set of gullwing doors.
NILU is capped at 15 units, though a street homologated version limited to 54 units is also in the works.

Nilu27, a newly formed hypercar brand has revealed its first model, the Nilu, ahead of its public debut on August 15 on the ramp at Pebble Beach during this year’s Monterey Car Week.
The new V-12 hypercar was created by celebrated sports car designer, Sasha Selipanov, who has worked at Koenigsegg, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Genesis to help create supercars like the Chiron, the Huracán and the CC850.

“My path in the industry has never been about following rules and sticking to norms,” said Sasha, the founder and CEO of Nilu27.
“I was never afraid to follow my intuition or chase my dreams. Breaking conventions is simply a byproduct. The same is true for NILU : a hypercar that discards current trends and conventions in pursuit of an elevated automotive experience.”

The eye-catching hypercar sports a carbon-fiber chassis and rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tyres – specified at 265/35 R20 front and 325/30 R21 rear.

It also boasts a set of gullwing doors that opens up to reveal a cabin with a single screen for rear view camera/mirror, and two fixed, sunken seats, which do not obstruct the door apertures with their side bolsters.
Powering the NILU hypercar is a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine built by New Zealand-based Hartley Engines, which produces 1,070 horsepower at 11,000 rpm and 634 lb-ft at 7,000 rpm.

This powertrain specially designed for the rear-engined hypercar allows it to reach 62 mph from standstill in under three seconds and a limited top-speed of 249 mph.
Production of NILU will be capped at 15 units, though the hypercar brand said it is simultaneously developing a street homologated version that will be limited to 54 units, four of which will be unique design one-offs.
