US president Joe Biden takes new electric Ford F-150 Lightning prototype for a test drive, told reporters ‘This sucker’s quick’
Adding that : “these vehicles can go from 0 to 60 in…4.4 seconds”
US president Joe Biden made an unscheduled visit to Ford manufacturing plant in Dearborn, Michigan on Tuesday where he test drove Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck prototype trailed by Secret Service. The test drive was performed at Ford driving course, where safety tests are normally conducted.
After pulling the truck up to reporters and photographers, Biden, donning aviator sunglasses, said” This sucker’s quick,” while still in the driver’s seat.

When asked how does it feel to drive one of these vehicles? Biden says “it feels great”. “I’ll tell you what, these electric vehicles, now I don’t know if anyone has a stop watch but these vehicles can go from 0 to 60 in…4.4 seconds” — information it appears he wasn’t supposed to share.
But, a Ford representative, who was at the course, told reporters that the information about the vehicle’s speed wasn’t supposed to be public until the truck’s official reveal today.
Biden’s unscheduled stop was part of a larger tour to promote the Ford’s new electric pick-up and the President’s infrastructure proposal.
The new Ford F-150 Lightning electric vehicle Ford is currently being manufactured at its plant in Dearborn, Michigan. The will make its official debut today, May 19. So stay tuned for even more info.
