The Toyota Board Of Directors Chairman’s Record Salary
The Toyota company announced that its chairman of the board of directors, Akio Toyoda, received a salary of approximately $ 13.45 million in 2024, marking the highest amount in the company’s history and a 20 percent increase from the previous year.
President Koji Sato received approximately $5.7 million, while former Vice President Shigeru Hayakawa, who resigned in June, received approximately $2.5 million, according to the company’s annual report.
Japanese companies must disclose information on executives who receive more than 100 million yen a year, or $690,000, according to Tanjug.
As reported by Reuters, the salary figures of the company’s executives are unexpected, given that a large number of users complain about the poor quality of the company’s vehicles.
