Toyota Adds Ogier And Rovanpera Models To The Refined GR Yaris
About two weeks ago, Toyota introduced the refined GR Yaris. Among other things, it will tackle it with more power: from now on, the blown 1.6-three cylinder will deliver 280 hp. In combination with the stiffer chassis and stiffer dampers, this should make the upper Yaris an even more fun pocket rocket. If it is still not special enough for you, you can contact Toyota for an Ogier Edition or Rovanpëra Edition. The what? Well, the GR Yaris as Toyota Gazoo Racing WRC team champions Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperä prefer to see it,.
The Toyota GR Yaris Ogier Edition looks the more subtle of the two, with its ‘stealth gray’ paint job and a small French flag in the grille. The Rovanperä Edition has a more exuberant Gazoo Racing livery. The roof spoiler on that version also looks a bit more extreme. Both cars have 18-inch alloys from BBS. In the interior of both cars, a special badge stands out, celebrating last year’s WRC victory.
There are also new driving modes. There is the Morizo Mode, developed by none other than ‘Morizo’ Akio Toyoda. This helps the Ogier Edition achieve consistent lap times. In the Ogier Edition, you also have the Seb mode, which ensures that the car can break away from the rear relatively easily. In the Rovanperä Edition, you have the Kalle mode, which also provides a looser butt and a special donut mode. Naturally, a limited number of both special editions will be made. The prices are not yet known.
