All VW Vehicles In German To Get A Price Increase Due To Euro 7 Standards

Published

on

The new Euro 7 regulations will take effect on November 29. As the name suggests, this is the seventh time the EU has updated its emissions regulations. This time, authorities focused on particles from tires and brake discs. Higher requirements mean cars will become more expensive.

This is reported by the German expert magazine Automobilwoche. Volkswagen has already taken this into account in its home market of Germany. Volkswagen thus announced that the next model year will be more expensive from July 1. Thus, the Tiguan in Germany will be around 400 euros more expensive. The reason for the price increase is new requirements and higher technology costs. One should not be Nostradamus and assume that other manufacturers will also increase production costs. Also, the rise in prices will be felt throughout Europe.

It is about increased costs to produce cars with lower emissions. The European Union has imposed new requirements for brake discs, pads and tires.
